Shivali
Shivali is
a qualified commercial artist. She has a keen eye for fine lines and intricate
details that make her works of Indian folk art excellent pieces of vibrant
colour and exquisite finishing.
She was the
representative as an Indian artist at the South Asian Art Exhibition held in Singapore
by the Temple of Fine Arts. She has exhibited her work at the ’Celebrating
Womanhood’ event organized at Suntec, Singapore and at ’Rhythms of Unity’ event
organized by the Ang Mo Kio GRC.
She has
also exhibited at events organized by the India Tourism Board and Temple of
Fine Arts. She has taught at the Indian Club wing of the Singapore Management
University (SMU).Currently she also
teaches at the Global Indian International School at the East Coast Campus.
She has
successfully conducted three Art Workshops titled ‘The Art Workshop’, ‘Arty
Facts’ and ‘Arty Facts 2’to promote her passion for Indian folk art.
Kumuda
Kumuda
Krovvidi is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has a keen interest in drawing
and painting, especially Indian Art such as Indian Miniature Paintings and
Indian Folk Art styles such as, Madhubani, Warli, Kalamkari and Pata Chitra.
She is a
native of Hyderabad, India and currently resides in Singapore. She has
completed a one year course in Basic Western Art from Nanyang Academy of Fine
Arts(NAFA) .She teaches art to adults and children that includes sketching,
drawing, and use of different media such as water colours, poster colours,
acrylics and oil colours. She is currently a Co-Curriculur Activity Coach for
the subject “Indian Folk Art Study and Painting” with the Global Indian
International School at the Queenstown campus.
She has
successfully conducted two exhibitions in 2008 and 2009 titled ‘Friends of Fine
Art’ to showcase her artwork and work done by her deserving students.
She has
successfully conducted two art workshops titled ‘The Art Workshop’ in 2010 and
‘Arty Facts’ in 2011 to promote the creative use of Indian Folk Art styles on
objects of everyday use.
